Initial Engagement
Clients are overloaded with advisory, thought-leadership, and best-practice in various forms and guises. We don’t aim to compete in this over-saturated space. We trust our clients have a well-defined vision and are seeking smart, passionate professionals to help deliver their visionary digital programmes. We help our clients by working with them to understand their vision and strategic decisions. A few questions that we seek answers to are:
- Business domain within which they operate and the scope of digital solutions that they aim to deliver. Are you transforming your core business, a specific business domains
- Architectural choices – have they adopted SaaS platform or adopted Micoservices based architecture or both
- Platform choices they have already made – do they want to adopt AWS / Azure / Google Cloud / Bluemix or none of these
- Do they aim to deliver cutting edge customer engagement platform or adopt Machine Learning to serve customers intelligently or do both
- What are the key objectives of the programme – Reduce their operational cost or increase footprint across the market or easy access to customers and partners
This helps us building a holistic view of their requirements for Digital, architectural and management skills.
Connect with potential candidates
We work closely with a number of universities which run Masters and MBA programmes with key focus on Digital, Data and Technology transformation. Most of these courses have a mixed intake of fresh as well as experienced professionals including international students who are trying to gain experience of working in the UK, or British professionals who are trying to change careerpaths or fast track their career and bring host of transforable skills. Most of these candidates are passionate, driven, eager to learn and deliver but are unlikley to be a 100% match for your needs and we know that! We use the requirements captured above to connect the clients with the most appropriate course group and closest “potential candidate“
Agree a Growth and development path
Working with the client and the choosen candidate, we agree a development path and invesment strategy. The development path is driven by the requirements we captured in the very stage and would involve a professional training and/or certification aligned to the Digital programme that our clients aim to deliver. This usually involves either a certification from one of the top vendors such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud or a professional training and cerficiation around an industry framework such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or BCS Qualification. This step is highly bespoke, and depdendent on the client’s skill demand.
This is a stage wherein we seek a tri-party committment involving us, our clients, candidates. Our clients committ to offering an opportunity to the candidate on graduation; our candidate makes a committment to complete the professional training/certification in next three to four months and we committ to making an investment in supporting the candidate over this period. On our part, this is a £5 to 10K financial committment
Onboard
We continually enage with the cleint and the selected consultant, which enables us to ensure a smooth start of the consultant at the project. In run up to the onboaridng, we help the candidate get a better understanding of the organisation and the division that they are joining. We agree a start date with our client – in line with the key project milestones, and help transition the selected candidate into the new organisation. Our clients benefit from a consultant, who they know from Day 1, a consultant that is well-equipped with the skills relevant for the project, a consultant that is eager and comittment to delivering the programme. All this comes at a fraction of the cost that you would pay to top consulting firms and similar cost that you would bear in case you were recruitting via an intermediary
Silent benefits
- Its not rocket science, but most companies stuggle to implement such appaorch via their internal hiring channels becasue they are either constrained by funding or process by which they can sponsor training of a potential consultant. We solve that problem for our clients by making the upfront investment
- This provides a greater certainity for both our clients as well as consultants. our clients will have a well-equipped consultant and our consultant will a specific project to join. We make this process easier by seeking a future dated contract from our client and by singing up the candidate right away
- We dont hire sub-contractors and hence are fully IR35 compliant
