Unfortuntaley, we have to be selective in terms of the people that we can coach. It is a big committment and we dont want to over-committ and under-deliver. We dont want to sign-up more students that we can support. The first step is for you to prove it that you are worth it. We are transperent in terms of what we are looking for – do you have the analytical skills, ambition and willingness to put in additional effort? To gauge your analytical ability, we ask you to undertake an analytical ability test. We bear the cost of the test and you invest your time. Its a fair deal – and that is a key which we re-inforce at every step. “A fair deal”
Step 2: Share your aspirations
This is the step where we work with you to understand your aspirations, help you set realistic targets. In order to do this, we need you to work with us and start shaping your “light bulb”:
- Understand what your core skills, experience and abilities. This is the reason people would hire you, In this context, it could be your industry knowledge, your technical skills, your experience gained in working in a sector or geography, which gives you a different perspective
- Identify the associated commercial or Management skills that would enable you to ensure make commercially astute and well-informed decisions
- Manage the associated function and technical skills that are closely associated with your domain
- Hone your soft skills – communication, stakeholder management, networking skills
- Gain knowledge and insights into emerging areas
By the end of this phase, we would have helped you outline a target “professional persona” that is specific to you and achievable in next six to nine months. This will be in line with your course curriculum as well as your professional ambitions. In most instances, you need to work over and above your course to achieve your professional ambitions and we will help you design a plan of action to bridge the gap between your skills and requirements for your “Dream job”
Step 3: Get ready for next phase of your life
This is the most important step where we add value by making the connection between the right candidate and hiring manager.
We come across many job aspirants, who struggle to secure the right roles. On the other hand, we come across several employers, who struggle to hire people with the right skill sets. This is because applicants sometimes want to showcase their full capability, and in turn fail to draw enough focus on the skills that are relevant for the role / important for the hiring manager.
